Ashley P. Burton

Utah Criminal Appeals Lawyer

Hailey Black

Ashley concentrates her legal practice on criminal appeals. She spent two years working in the Utah Supreme Court chambers of Justice Michael J. Wilkins. Before joining Intermountain Legal Ashley worked in the area of family law, concentrating on divorce, custody, and child support issues. Ashley’s past experiences have given her a firm belief that there are two sides to every story and that every situation is unique. She brings that belief into her appellate practice. Ashley is also a certified mediator where she gained extensive first-hand knowledge of the appellate process in Utah. Ashley left the Supreme Court knowing what types of arguments win an appeal and what types of arguments fail. Ashley has used this knowledge to completely change the case outcome from an initial loss to a win on appeal. She has also done extensive research on criminal issues and is informed on all new developments in Utah criminal appellate law.
